I am storing a friends truck. It's a 352/c4/2wd/long bed
Its ver original and only missing the radio. It runs fine. The body and bed are great, minor rust, all straight. I'm into Mustangs but I am contemplating making him an offer. Whats this truck worth?
Value is a tough call.
As a guy who spent the last year looking for a truck, and just brought mine home yesterday from NC, I can tell you prices are all over the place!
I bought a '65 Custom Cab long bed, 93,000 original miles in good presentable condition for $2600. I personally think I stole this truck, but depending on where you live it may be an average price or even high.
Rust is everything. This one isn't rust free, but close enough to it I'm happy.
A base truck will be worth less, obviously.
To Help put it prespective I just paid 650 cnd for a 65 f100 and all I wanted was the rad support inner liners and front fenders it was not running or in that great off shape, but the front end parts where in great shape. Eric
I looked around the Seattle area for about 6 months and finally found my truck 2 weeks ago. '66 F-100 Custom cab, 352, 4 speed, master gaskets recently replaced, new cluth, new tune up +, little surface rust, almost everything original, very straight body, good paint, one minor ding, runs like a charm. Paid $1,800. You're right to check with the guys in this forum; they sure gave me lots of advice which I appreciate. The key is to know what you're looking for; both good and bad. Thanks guys for making me a confident buyer. I love my first Ford Truck!
