Problems in common
I have a 98 Mazda B4000 4.0 with 107K miles on it. Best truck I've ever owned. I've seen some of the more common problems described in the forum. Some I ignore others I've figured out my own solutions. I'm pretty rough with it on and off road but do regular maintenance. It just keeps going strong.
Recently I got stuck for the first time and tried to pull out with 4 wheel drive. The front wheels would not engage, I could hear the motor turning on the transfer case so I figured that was good. Come to find out after reading the forum, the most likely trouble is with the hub design. Apparently the is a problem with the vacuum locks. Ok so I'm gonna try the manual lock upgrade. Then my AC stopped putting out cold air when on low. Apparently this is a vacuum problem also. Here's the question. Could there be a problem with the vacuum that I should be looking for? Or are these problems totally unrelated?
