News wires (just released by Ford this AM). After an online vehicle research firm (name not given) issued a report which states that consumers consideration of full-size trucks has plummeted, Ford states the F-150 inventory as of June 30 stood at 300,000 units. A RECORD INVENTORY LEVEL. Ford as a result has "reinvigorated" their F-150 rebates as follows: An additional $500-$1,000 "enhance" rebate to its already stated "drive on us" campaign. Ends July 31. Ford now offers between $4,000-$4,500 and an additional $500-$1,000 to qualifying buyers. Ford is also offering its dealers special incentives (which were not disclosed) if they meet agreed upon F-Series sales goals for July.
HUH- looks like it might be in my best interest to wait to buy my new F-150
Was gonna go get the deal done on Saturday think I'll wait. Wonder how thats all gonna play out with the 0% financing?? That dont end till 10-2 I think?
Ernie-
just curious but does ford let you guys know earlier then the general public or are you at the same mercy we are at on waiting for the info??
As soon as anyone finds out I'd be REAL interested in knowing since the plan was to get a new 150 supercrew bought on saturday morning.
I just googled Ford truck sales an the Detroit news reported that Ford has sweetened deals on the F-series truck. An additional $500-$1000 off in addition to the current discounts available on the Drive on Us program. Ford has way to many trucks in the pipeline they have to move so it could get real interesting in the next few weeks. Gas prices are hurtin truck sales for all the domestic brands.
I certainly do not know the inner workings of a dealership and where they get their rebate money from. But I did purchase a XLT Screw 4x4 tonight and received $1500 in rebate money plus the 0% financing. So I would say this quite possibly is true about the added rebates. Now could I have gotten another $500, I don't know. Pleased with my deal so I will be happy in that.
Also a huge 'thank you' to polarbear and others on this site for your priceless advice and knowledge.

I feel like I need to read the newspaper to know the most current data. GM's the same way. I still haven't seen any updates- wonder if it's regional?
