did a search but couldn't find a thread has anyone had any problems with excess moisture/condensation inside the windshield early in the am/late at night
Turn on the defroster and turn down the temp. Usually what happens is the windshield is getting cool moist air and the heat from the defroster creates the moisture on the windshield. Only happens here when the humidity is high. And it happens on more than just fords.
I found the same thing happening in the winter and the Rain X anti fog only made the droplets smaller so they froze quicker when the temp dropped. I found that shutting the environmental system off about 30 seconds before parking the truck allowed sufficient time for all the shutoffs in the air distribution lines to close and seemed to help dramatically (maybe it was my imagination, but no more ice on inside of windshield).
I had the exact same problem the first winter I had my 04. It turned out that my third brake light was leaking water into the cab. I didn't notice it right away because I don't have anyone sitting in the back seat very often. One day I noticed my back seat was wet. For a couple of months I was getting a ridiculous amount of condensation on my windshield. Once the brake light seal was replaced and the interior allowed to dry I never had a condensation problem again. See if you can find a leak somewhere.
