warranty

hello all, first post. I'm in the process of buying 05 fx4, private party deal. Is there a procedure to transfer the warranty. Thanks

Is it the factory warranty (3 yr, 36,000 miles)? If so, then no. If not then maybe Ed from www.discountfordpartsaty2kford.com should chime in as he'll probably know better.

Just go to your local Ford dealer with the VIN. They will change the owner info in their computer. That way you will get mail about recalls, etc.
