97 tranny ?
hey guys I have 97 f250 auto that seems to have a tranny problem when im doing highway speeds and let off the gas a little bit it sounds like the tranny slips .if give it more gas it seems fine its really strange? pulls trailers great and seems to shift really good .truck has 165000 miles on it and its the origanal tranny any ? would be great

I honestly believe the auto manufacturers consider automatic transmissions as disposable items like brakes and fuel filters. They could make them last the life of the rig but they don't.
If you have gotten 165k out of yours, you have done very well. Try to think of it like you saved $2,000 because you didn't have to have it done at 100k and again now.
