how to pull codes ??

Thanx for all the info on oilpan and running rough but how do I pull the codes on my 87??

Actron CP9015 is what I use, cost me $29.95, and is good for your application. I read you can use a paper clip as well, and codes will flash your check engine light on the dash. I don't know which female connectors in the harness to jump, maybe someone will help you there.

Example: code 123 would flash your CEL as follows; flash, pause, flash flash, pause, flash flash flash. Very easy and you will save alot of money fixing sensor and relay problems yourself.
