So the short version is my friends and i got stuck in some mud, yes i know you shouldn't put the clutch in in the mud, lesson learned. We hit the clutch maybe 3 times, and all of a sudden we lost power. The engine was running fine, we just werent moving. We could move the shifter into different gears with the engine running just like the clutch was in neutral.
When you press the pedal to the floor, instead of the normal.... Relief feeling when you "feel" it disengage, its just a hard press all the way down. If you watch the throwout bearing through that hole thats in the bellhousing you can see it slide about halfway then stop through the rest of the pedal push. there was some mud and weeds inside the case that i picked out with some pliers.
I am intending to tear down the driveline this weekend and fix whatever needs fixing, but does anyone have a good idea what went wrong? Any ideas appreciated. The "stiff" pedal feel is what i'm not sure of.
I'm guessing you blew the clutch. The pressure plate won't maintain friction. You probably already found this, but that's my guess. I say replace the throwout bearing and make sure you didn't score the pressure plate and flywheel aren't scored as well.
