hey i took my expy to my uncles garage today to have him look at a trans cooler leak, and when he drove it around the block to pull it in i heard a ticking noise. i couldnt tell where it was coming from since i was about 50 feet away, but it just gets on my nerves having my truck making a mysterious noise. it only does it when accellerating and dont know where its coming from any ideas? also while i was there we found out that the sway bar link was busted in half and only half the bolt was t=still there ha. so does anyone have any good aftermarket replacments thanks.
I had a ticking noise on my Nav. Turned out to be the water pump impeller had sheared off. The noise would increase and decrease depending on speed.
(Note: The temperature gauge did not register any change. The truck still drove fine without any indication of overheating, even with the pump not working).
well it doesnt do it in drive if the vehicle is sitting still wth the rpms up. so im thinking its somethign in the drive train. maybe driveshaft, ttrans. idk because it only does it when in motion , and the ticks get faster as the rpms go up

in my experience a loose tensioner cant make all kinds of noise... In addition tensioner could be bad... Those will tick faster with rpm;s as the pulley's on tensioner are moving....
