Wiper nut wrench

Where can you get a wrench that allows you to remove the chrome nut that hold the wiper hickie to the outside of the dash? It looks like potmetal and is all white and crooded.

Your right it is pot metal. Most guys use plyers and a rag to keep from marking the thin crome. Your better of to use a adjustable spanner wrench but there not cheap you can get them at any industrail bearing house. Or with a little time you can make a better wrench your self. Pull off the wipper arm (note: you'll need to push aside a small crome tab under the arm to slide it off) next find a 3 inch or so section of pipe that will slide over the wiper drive but sit on top of the nut mark the 4 knotchs and cut out the none marker area metal. On the other end drill a hole and slip in a philips screw driver to add leverage. Like the four tang sokets for 4x4 hubs.

Best of luck.

Excellent idea. I did the same but used a 13/16 socket made in Taiwan. used a dremel tool to cut and shape. Always apply tape to the bottom of the tool to reduce marring the chrome or painted finish on the bezel. It also helps to have a helper under the dash to hold the wiper arm in the hole while removing and installing. It keeps the arm from twaeking and putting the bezel in a bind.
