Turn Signal Problems
if i jump the wires they work, the hazzards work on the switch. past the connector under the dash i have power. i have kind of given up because i started painting the truck and its all apart right now.
it fustrated the heck out of me though. and i had a thread about it with alot of good info some other members replied with. search for it. it helped me.
think i'm just gonna wire up a 3way toggle till i can figure it out. but right now the truck is just sitting in the garage for a while since i can finally paint it.

If you have power past the underdash connector and your hazard lights work then it's either: 1. Turn signal switch internal problem. 2. Open Blue wire between the last point where you have power and the switch terminal to which it attaches. Why don't you check for power right at the switch terminal?
#1: Do you have working backup lamps? If you do not have working backup lamps goto #2, if you do have working backup lamps goto #6.
#2: the problem could be in the Purple/orange wire between the flasher and the Fuse on the fuse panel if not the fuse itself. Check to see if you have power at the flasher's Purple/Orange wire. If you have power there fix wiring to backup lamp switch, replace Backup lamps switch or replace bulbs then goto #6. If no power goto #3:
#3: Check the always hot in run, side of the fuse. Do you have power to the always hot side of the fuse? If so then replace the fuse, or repair wiring between fuse and flasher. If no power goto #4
#4: If you don't have power to the always hot in run, side of the fuse, then check the connection between the heater blower fuse and the turn signal/backup lamp fuse. If you have power at the heater blower motor. Fix the broken connection between the Blower motor fuse and the Turn Signal Fuse, inside the panel. If you don't have power at the heater blower motor fuse, goto 5.
#5: If your heater blower doesn't work either, then you may have a defective fuse panel, A problem with the grey/yellow wire power feed leading from the Ignition Switch to the fuse panel, or the ignition switch is out of adjustment or the ignition switch is defective.
#6: If you do have backup lamps, then the problem could be in the flasher connection, where the purple/orange wire attatches to the flasher, the flasher itself, or the connection at the light Blue wire at the flasher. Goto #7
#7 If you have power at the flasher, the connections are good at the flasher and the flasher is ok, check for power at the turn signal connector in the light blue wire. follow that wire up to the switch. If power goes all the way to the switch, and your hazzard lights work, then it's probably the Turn signal switch (TSS) malfunctioning.
-----------
As Piffery1 says, Check the light Blue wire right at the TSS, if you have power there, then it's got to be the switch.
Hope this helps.
