Dash Pads??
Removal was not difficult, excepting for the two side screw in pieces left and right of the dash, one screw was rusted, and had to be dremmeled out, and I damaged the holder in the process. prying the chrome off I managed to scratch the paint a touch, but I was none too concerned personaly as I was going to remove the paint.
In my case, it being the custom cab, under the dash pad was the carabian turquoise, the exposed part of the dash was the wimbledon(sp) white.
There was ofcorse a problem with the factory glue that held the dashpad on, but i imagine there are solutions to remove it. in my case i'm stripping the paint.
There was some heavy rusting right around the window seal... i'm presently in the process today of scraping it away, but i've seen this truck without the dashpad, and it does indeed look most handsome, esp since you can strip and repaint it with ease, it's harder to construct a dash pad.
