hey
i just ordered a set of hooker super competition equal length shortys, only to find that they don't have a set-up for the two O2 sensors(at least that's what i think they are) on the stock manifolds. i know i need to drill them and weld in bungs so i can screw the sensors in, i just dont know what size bungs i need. does anyone here know? also, anyone have experience with this and know the best place to put them? thanks for any help you can give.
I don't think they are for O2 sensors. They are probably for air injection ports. What is the GVWR of your truck? I think that if the truck is 8600 GVWR or over they have the air injection ports in the back of the manifolds. There are others on here that may be able to give more information. Have you tried to search for other posts about manifolds and/or headers?
The O2 sensor threads are 18x1.5 mm and you'll need them on that 96. I would try to locate them as close to the stock location as you can, which would be the collector.
