I use the "Flitz" polish and their "Powerball" buffer on a drill motor. $20 for the whole shebang and it works very well. I re-polish my aluminum rims about once a year. Watch for the TV ad (usually on Saturday morning Spike TV). That's where I got it.
Mothers also has a similar (but more expensive) product that Chip Foose promotes. It is probably available at your local auto parts store.
Nevr-Dull is a wonderful thing....its a little bit of a work out, but as long as you stay on top of your polishing, it works very well.....i think im going to go diamond plate with my bed too.... everyone else around here has wood, i like to be different

Randy, I saw the ad yesterday on Spike TV (just as you said ), and they showed the web address:
Norm, I am still just in the considering mode, but in the end, its pretty much a toss up. I think i can lay diamond plate in there cheaper than the wood bed would cost, but you still end up having to polish the diamond plate. Like you said, polishing and varnishing are a pain. However, in my case, polishing is something that would have to be done all the time to keep it as nice and shiny as the rest of the pickup. All i am thinkin about is how i have seen 4x8 sheets of diamond plate for like $150-200, whereas the money you stick into a wood bed once you buy the metal strips and bolts, etc. Just a matter of preference, i like things shiny.
