89 Bronco XLT Question

anyway here's my question..I need opinions this seems like a good deal to me but tell me what you think.
I just testdrove a 89 Bronco XLT with a 302 Aod and *4:10* Gears.
it has long tube headers, quite a bit of rust.. and look to be 2 new front fenders and a shotty paint job. (small runs)
it has 244,000Km on it (150,000mi) and the guy wants $2500cdn (like 1600 us) It probably needs the motor and trans rebuilt and a front end (ball joints tierod ends etc) and tires.
has anyone had to do this kinda overhaul and how much did it cost?
do you think the low pricetag makes it worthwhile?

Let's see, a rusted Bronco, needs a motor, tranny, and a front end, maybe worth $500. US. I'd look around more. Your not spending alot but you're not getting alot on this deal. Sounds like more headaches than it's worth.
