14X4Ford, I did that upgrade on my05 f350. Was pretty simple. Hardest part finding power. Did find a lightblue/white stripe power supply under the radio center hump, under carpet. I didn't drop the whole headliner, just the front. A couple of screws and the plastic pins. The hardest part is getting the clip off the old mirror. Be careful not to apply any pressure to the window shield, could crack it!!!! I found prying the clip off with a little screw driver worked for me. Oh, you also need to pull the driveside pillor off two. Run your wires along the front headliner down the pillor. As for going through the firewall you have a couple of options. The one did was to drip a whole put a gurmet in it an run the wire through. Then you need to run the leads(sensor) up to the front of the truck, around grille. Sounds simple now that I write about, but it did work out will. You can find some posting from others or even mine when I was looking for help wit the power. You might want to try the electric tread on the site.

Hey Ryan, i did one of these for a friend a while ago. I thought the mirror came with pins on the wires and all you had to do was add them to the appropriate connectors. been along time though.
