Oil cooler?

Help with what? The way I see it, if you add components to keep fluids cooler, you can never go wrong.... I think there is enough air space movement however under the body and hood of a truck not to need one though, unless you are doing somehting other than daily driving.

In cars and truck the oil pan acts as an oil cooler because of the air flowing past it. In boats you don't get this air flow and they run coolers there a lot. However, I agree with Mike, that an oil cooler can't hurt as heat is your oil's number 1 enemy. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to install and sure won't hurt a thing and will take some load off the engine cooling system too.
