I have a question, I decided to overhaul the battery cables. Well I found that there was all rusted and corroded. Well I was thinking of using something like greace to coat the cable ends. I have some old anti-seize in a jar that I was used to coat the cables ends. It has lead and copper and other conductive materials in it. shoud I have used it or something else better. I just do not want the cables to go bad again. Any body have any input.
I have used grease before, but it doesn't seem to coat the terminal well and stop the corrosion.
Someone years ago suggested that when I change the oil, and have a few little drips left in the oil bottle, to hold it over the battery terminals and let a couple of drops coat the cable ends. This has really worked for me and I have done it ever since. If you do not change your own oil, just go get a quart and get a oil can, and use it to squirt a few drops on the cables.
