The problem is most likely that the system is discharged. There is a pressure switch on the drier which is on the passenger side. This switch turns the compressor on and off. I would be willing to bet that the system is too low on refrigerant to turn on the compressor. You can either add more freon to it and hope it works, or you can get a gauge set and know for sure what the problem is. BTW, what year is your truck?
