I am trying to install a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 Stereo W/ navigation in my 2006 F-350 Truck with the 6.0 powerstroke diesel.
My question, there is a speed sensing cable on the navigation system that must be installed on the speed pulse wire Speed detection circuit lead on the vehicles injection computer.
I know my new tucks has a speed sensing volume control built in to the radio.
Can I use this cable for the Nav system? What do you all know about this cable, i.e. Where does it come from, what type of voltage does it use, is it a pulse type cable, what color is the cable.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have an Eclipse AVN5435 in my Super Duty. I took the easy way out and had a local auto stereo shop install it for me. When I first looked at it I realized it was a little more complicated than what I wanted to get into. Best $$$ I ever spent. System is flawless.....Dan
Give that a look... I'm not sure if that specific wiring break down has what you need, but if you poke around that site (read: search first, ask if you can't find it) Those guys are awesome over there... Very helpful.

EDIT: '05 and '06 should be the same, I believe
Also, post some pics when you're done... I'm lookin into that deck also.
Maybe someone can explain why the unit costs 1500 bucks sold here, but 200-400 in Europe. Check out ebay. seems like a great deal to get one from overseas, but maybe there is a caveat?
is that price in us dollars or euros? big difference.. also, if you got one from europe, it will probably only be loaded with the maps from europe, not us. when i got my garmin, it asked me if i wanted to order the us version or the europe version. make sure you know what you are ordering when you place the order..
