Hi. I've got a 2004 Excursion EB and I'm trying to find a part for the grille.
I was just driving down the road one day and it fell out somehow. It's the left side, some kind of insert.
I have searched various auto part sites and I can't find an exact part. What exactly is it called? My grandfather took it to the Ford place and they said that the entire three-piece grille set is $400. We don't need the entire set, just that part. If that is not available, then maybe the set at a cheaper cost? It's tan/beige color and is plastic. Eddie Bauer.
Okst1, thanks! I see the $264 part you are talking about. There are a couple of different colors that it might be. Would you say that it's Pueblo Gold, or what?
I might just go look in a junk yard though, like BowTieHatr said.
if that is all you need try salvage yards. excursions and superduty trucks have same grill. you should not have a problem finding any
NOT TRUE! No other SuperDuty model has the same eggcrate grille as the Excursion. But yes, check salvage yards, though they'll want to sell you the entire grille. I sold my 3 grille inserts on eBay for $10 a few years ago.
Alternative - This is your opportunity to purchase an aftermarket grille.
just to let you know, the center section will fit either a super duty or an X, the vents, believe it or not, are a tad different from the X and a SD. i have a complete grill assembly with the chrome mesh from my 01 X that i removed when i did the 05 front end swap for sale. it is black shell and chrome mesh inserts. anyone interested??
