OK, I understand it's 5 years/100K miles. Thanks aklim!!
I'm shopping for a SD and it seems I've noticed alot more 2001 SD's for sale than later built trucks. Maybe it's because alot of 01s have engine warranties expiring.

Thanks again!
Don't the '01's have the good rods? What would you rather have, a short term warranty or long lasting forged rods?
it is hard to tell. the thought date was 16 oct 2000, but some have checked that have been right on the line, and i belive a dude with a 9 sep 2000 engine had PMRs. tenn01psd?
Mine has a build date of Oct. 30th, and I checked, it had PMR's. Initially I was concerned, but I have gotten past that, and not worried anymore, there has to be a million trucks out there with the PMR's still rolling along. I can't see myself running up the horsepower too much more than I have already, so I should be fine. If not, I will fix it. On the warranty issue, I had the seals on the turbo pedistal leaking at 93,000 miles last week. I had the 100.00 deductable ( I think that is standard, but not sure), took it to the dealer, and they fixed it no questions asked. Kind of surprised me with the mods I had done, but in reality that has no effect on the seals leaking.
How can I find out if my 01 is affected by the PMR? I think my in service date was late 2000 but not sure (bought used). Is there a site for this or does ford have to look it up.
