Renewing Grille Ideas?

I just removed the ranch hand from my truck and the gray area of the grille looks unappealing. I would like to renew the charcoal gray or argent colored area in my 95's grille. It is a chrome one with the gray inside the holes. Has anyone tried to make it look new again? I saw some stuff that is made by duplicolor for gray plastic/rubber bumpers and impact strips etc. Would that work? I would like to get it as close to the same color as possible. I was hoping I could just clean it, but that hasn't worked so far. Any ideas?

Fusion spray paint. It is made for plastic.

I used some gloss spray paint in there and spruced mine up too. Check the gallery.

Thanks for the input, I am going to try the rattle can trick. I think I'll give krylon's fusion a try.
