trade-in for explorer
I am trying to decide if I should trade my 94 salvaged Ranger for a 92 Explorer with 101,000 miles. My ranger is in perfect condition besides a few blemishes on the exterior and interior; otherwise, i've never had a problem with it at all, and it has 120,000 miles on it. I checked out the explorer and drove it around for a while. Looks wise, the only problems are a few rough spots around the arm rest/compartment and a hole in the left tail light which is patched up. It drove pretty easily but I noticed the a/c didn't put out like it should and when I pressed the 4x4 button, the light didn't come on but i did hear some kind of clicking noise every time I pressed it. Does this mean it's working and the light just isn't coming on? Also, it seemed to have a minor problem with flood smoking but I don't know how severe it actually is. Lastly, the rear power windows are a little shaky goin up and down but that's reasonable. I'm getting an even trade if I decide to get it and I really need something bigger with 4 wheel drive but I don't wanna trade a perfectly good truck for a lemon. Please Help!

Well if it is an even trade thats alright but the Explorer sounds a little rough from what you say. I think if you look around you might be able to find something a little better, you may have to shell out a few more bucks but it will be worth it in the long run. Good Luck
