Well, I have been driving the truck with the new motor for about a month now. It was running rich as hell until yesterday. I removed the carb and took it apart and just cleaned it out. I messed with the two idle screws on the driver side and I messed with some little screw on the bottom of the carb (passenger side front corner). Now my truck is dieseling. It seems to be running semi lean too. what did I do to it? What is that screw on the front corner? Also, the spark retard solenoid; what color is the harness that connects to it? I have a feeling I may have that connected wrong. Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, I went last week and put a two chamber single in dual out flowmaster on it. I have to go back thursday and get the catalytic converter replaced, but so far, it sounds pretty good. I'm sure once it's running the way it should, it'll sound even better.
****, I didn't see the second line in your post. Sorry about that. I'll definately check out that site. What causes dieseling though? I think it's running lean now. the exhaust doesn't smell like gasoline anymore and it is really hot.
