gear vendor overdrive

anybody have a gear vendor under/overdrive in there ride? im thinkin about putting one in my 66 mustang. 3 speed to 6 sounds cool. their website sounds like its the way to go with gas over 3$ a gallon now. roughly figured i'd pay for the thing if i drove 100k miles in gas savings, at 3 $ a gallon.

At $2500 for the gearvendors unit, a T5 would be much cheaper.

I checked with them for info on converting my E150, and was looking at about $1500 including the adaptor. You'll probably be in it for less, and even less than that if you hunt out your own T5.

actually the t 5 conversion is about the same as a gear vendor unit. not only do you have to buy a t5, but u also have to buy a custom crossmember and the mount, clutch, flywheel, the clutch linkage, clutch pedal assembly, yoke,ect. the real cost is in the extras, thats why the overdrive unit is so cool- easy to install, plus u can remove it and go back stock if u want. i want to hear from somebody who has one and how they like it/dislike it. i hear they come stock on a bunch of motorhomes.
