92 Ranger problems

92 Ranger problems

okay I just recently had to put on new front shackles on the leaf springs because they rusted out...that set me out about 220 bucks....the truck itself has almost 75k miles...i know theres some life left and i want to know what i could do to get the most mileage and any performance upgrades i could do w/ a limited budget....any suggestions would help alot...thanks

open up the exhaust to straight pipes,or flowmasters with a little money.

What engine and transmission?

Exhaust is a good starting point. You can also get an intake and chip. Those three will provide noticeable gains together.

Its a 92 and it has 75k miles? Wow, my 2001 has 114k already.

Do you have the 4 or 6 cylinder?

No, you really should start from square one and get a tune-up with new spark plugs and wires. This needs to go down before add-ons. Then plop a performance air filter in there and you should see an improvement right away.
