Wrapping intercooler lines

Wrapping intercooler lines
On the BIG BANG post the is a photo of RubenG's motor. In the photo I noticed that the intercooler lines are wrapped with pipe insulation. What are your thoughts on this? Will there be any issues with that stuff getting to hot and melting to the engine? To me it seems like it would help keep that air cooler, but I would worry about the stuff melting to the engine components.

I too am curious. You would have to assume that the factory realized that underhood temps would increase inlet air temps without the insulation. Now I won't rest easy until I get that pipe insulated on my 05. Anybody know if there is an aftermarket kit or should I just head straight to the dealer?
