I have a 1994 f150 I-6 and i am thinking about replacing the stock exhaust with somthing better sounding. I was thinking of either replacing the muffler with a loud glass pack or cutting all of the cats and muffler out and replacing it with a single 2.5 inch straight pipe. Which one of these would be loud but not sound bad like a honda? Also, if i remove my cats will it screw up the O2 sensor and cause it to run rough? And, i have read things on here about some people losing low end torque with a straight pipe, does this really happen?

i have an 89 f-150 and when the pipes come into the frist cat there are 2 pipes. I cut the exhaist off there, right after my o2 sensor and ran true duals with 1 cat on each pipe, no mufflers. The truck sounds decent at low rpms but open it up and everyone definately knows i'm comin.
