compression test
Okay guys. I'm a newbe. Farthest I've been in a engine is to repair blown head.
Guess I'l learn the hard way alot but I'm gona learn. Hope you can help. I'm pulling out a 302 in my 92 F-150. Got some noise comming from the main bearing but only under a heavy load. Can't decide on wether to put a new cam an bearings in her or to order a long block reman. i did a compression test and all cylinders are between 175 lbs and 185lbs after 4 rotations. all are comming up to about90 lbs on first 150 on second and the remainder on the last two rotations. also did a preasure test on all and found no measureable leakage.
