well, when it comes to amps, there's no 'good' and 'cheap' at the same time. Give us a budget to work with

I see what you mean+you're right. But, I'm not lookin to showcase my system or anythin like that. im no expert at this, I just want somethin thatll support both subs w/out eventually distorting or ruinin anything. I basically want a decent amp somewhere around or below $250 or as cheap as possibe while still havin good quality+doin it's job thanks

Waddya think?

When I buy an amp, I like to make sure it is less powerful than the subs can handle. No use wearing out perfectly good subs just because you give them too much power. This ought to be a pretty good match. The website was a sponsor of FTE and lives in my area.

thanks alot for takin the time to do that i appreciate it I have one last quick question...It's goin to sound stupid, but where it says "maximum power" when your look at specifications is what you look at to match the amp to the wattage of your speakers, right? Does RMS really matter that much? thanks ryan

RMS is what you should be paying the most attention to. What they advirtise is 'peak' power. Try and make sure your subs have an RMS of 125 a piece, at least. The RMS on the amp is 125W, which is more than what you'd think.

Let us know if you have any problems, or need help with anything.

yes the subs have 200 RMS ---> http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...cation.do#tabs

and then amp has 125, so will that be enough?

to follow up on what fighing Irish said, you can never have too much power, so buying an amp less powerful isn't always the best policy. You can still damage your subs that way. I know because my brother's done it twice.

If one has enough self control to run subs on a lower powered amp and not run it into clipping, there is no danger of damaging your speakers. That said, I would go for an amp that is at or slightly higer rated than the subs, for the cleanest signal, without maxing out and clipping the amp and to get the most out of the subs you paid for.
