I've got 4.10 gears in a Dana 70 rearend, and apparently in the particular model housing I've got (1/2" pinion offset, two piece casing, tag #603117-1) I can't get gears any faster than 4.10. I'd really like to get some 3.23 to 3.55's, but in order to do that I have to get a different housing. My question is, does anyone know what year and model of trucks have housings that will bolt onto a 1969 F350 SINGLE rear wheels, not a dually, two wheel drive truck? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know very much about the Dana70 gearing availability but, there is or was in 1978 a Dana70 with the 7400# class a 3.73 ratio gear set avail. These came in F-350's, and E-350's limited slip and non limited vertions. Factory code was 36 on the door tags. If no success then somewhere in the message board here there is a fellow with a 28% underdrive/overdrive unit avail.
