Drove my truck to work this morning and it ran fine. Drove home and it has developed a miss. I took all the COPs off and did an OHM test on them and they seem fine. Plugs look good also. With the engine idling it sounds good but under a load it misses. I took each COP off with the engine running and you could tell when I took each one off so Im under assumption that they are all good. It really acts like an ignition problem but Im going to change the fuel filter tommorrow and get some fresh gas. It sure dosent act like its fuel related but anything possible I guess. My Superchips handheld says there are no codes thrown....Im at a loss. Any ideas???
Okay what about the boots ? did you see any carbon tracking anywhere?
Be very careful pulling cops of a running truck ,the pcm doesn't like that and can end its life as we say.
Did you recently change plugs ? if so what brand?
Did you inspect for a leaky water heater hose on the passenger side, been known to leak into last plug hole .

Boots all look good....No cracks or carbon tracks. Truck has 88K on it and has autolite plugs in it so I assume(Stock motorcraft?) they have been changed before. They look good anyway. I didnt really mess with the MAF sensor besides blowing on it.
Clean the maf with brakekleen.
let it air dry ,don't blow on it with air it can break the fine wire .
don't forget the cop's are subject heat related break down after running for awhile .It still could be a cop going bad.
I cleaned the MAF sensor today and it didnt help. Also finally changed the fuel filter to no avail. It seems to idle good but really misses bad at any other RPM range other than idle. Still no codes. Im at a loss. Guess Ill just drive her till she quits or throws a code.
Problem fixed....Boutght one coil and started replacing them one at a time till I found it. I got lucky, it was the first one I did...#2
Thanks to everyone who helped out with this nitemare
