Well after a couple weeks of driving it, and running the EGT up a couple of times I am pleased with the high heat 1200 degree ceramic paint.
The engine and exhaust manifolds still look exactly like they did when I installed them.
The exhaust manifolds and downpipe did not discolor any at all which did surprise me.

My local just down the street Advance Auto has a fair selection of colors, but usually not many cans of each. I bought all their red and silver off the shelf twice.
They have three kinds, the one I used was 1200 degree ceramic paint.
They also have a 700 degree ceramic and a 600 degree paint.
I have hit over 1000 degrees now, the paint still looks brand new.

Advance Auto, I stopped by there frequently. Will have to check it out.
By the way, have you figured out how to put an cooler on that turbo yet? I have a Banks cooler available.

That is going to be one of those hold it in several places and study kind of things.
If we don't get more snow this winter than we did last year, I am pulling the snow plow off. It will be easy after that mount is gone.
