04' 4x4 F250 auto; every 2 to 3 shift I get this bad studder/jerking of the transmision shift. Truck has been doing it for a while; just not I have a programmer and notice it more. Once I also had it where it didn't want to shift out of 2nd to 3rd till I let out.
Well; problem is the truck is modded, and lifted. So they are going to blame all that. It's only the 2~3 shift; would it be that solenoid to where I could just buy and replace that myself?
A lazy or stuck solenoid is not because of any modifications. Will be cheaper in the long run to have it diagnosed first. Throwing parts at it is expensive.
Hmmm; well. I have a tuner and exhaust on the truck. Also a CCV mod. If I could come up with a likely single part I would rather change it myself than take it to a dealer. Not to mention I hate someone else working on my truck; more usually gets screwed up than fixed.
I just got back from the dealer for snapring failure and the tech showed me a ford bulletin that said the 2nd- 3rd hard shifting problems were normal and do not attemt to fix these issues
