Back up Tail Lights
If the 1964-66 type taillamps and assymblies can fit in a 1967-72.

Why I know I'm not crazy is my friend wanted to do some work for hire for the state when all the wildfires were going through the area. The truck passed inspection fine except for the backup lights.
Well, we take the lenses off and come to find there wasnt even a place for the backup lamp bulb in the housing. That got us to asking some questions, and scratching our heads cause the taillamps had backup lights etc... Anyway we go to the DMV and to find out they werent required equipment until January 1, 1968. So with paperwork from DMV in hand we got the truck to pass inspection without them cause the truck was built in 1967. However they did not like it, and said as much.
Very interesting. Learn something new.
I wonder now, if that was a previous owner or a factory screw up? Seen a few of both in my time.
As for the side marker lights, my fathers 1969 only had reflectors, no electrified side markers at all. '69 F-100 sport custom. Just the hood reflector that said FORD 100, and the little triangular reflector at the bottom rear panel in line with the rear bumper.
My 1972 had side marker lamps though.
You can read more about the FMVSS (federal motor Vehicle saftey standards) if you wish here:

Very fascinating reading.
I dunno...forget, and the Bronco parts are in the passenger car parts books till 1980, books I don't have.
Marker lights...confused, bleary eyed and brain dead after looking at every picture in the parts book earlier to try and answer your question.
The lens in the hood side emblem 1967-72 is a reflector. The front and rear markers show to be reflectors on 1967's. But in 1968 and up, they are shown with bulbs.

T'wood be my guess that the Bronco's used the 1967/ taillamps...with backup lights....makes sense to me.

I grew up around the Ford dealer here, my grandfather being friends and hunting buddies with the owner back when. I was great friends with the parts manager, and he said if he had a dime for everytime he discoverd the parts book was misprinted or wrong, he could retire. His name was Rich, and he worked at Erwin Pahl, later Pahl-Goodhue in Ca. Perhaps you knew him? He was a great guy and a lot of help. Got a lot of diagrams and stuff from him everytime they cleaned out the service library.

I'll look through my stuff and see if I cant find the reflectors and hood emblems floating around. I scanned a lot of what I had, but since the wife took the scanner when she left, I do not have access to one at the moment.
Very interesting discussion.
that only has a hood and rear side reflector near the bumper, no lamps.
The camper specical scrip on the lower front fenders before the doors and not up high on the side of the cowl.
It does have backup lamps w/clear lens window.
It was manufactured in San Jose California, I live 35 miles north.
The pics of those emblems all show the reflector, but as you know...those are general pics only.
Don't recall that dealers name, but I'll betcha the dealer is up in NorCal someplace...someplace I didn't scrounge for NOS way back when. Went up the coast to Arcata..then due east as the crow flies to Susanville.
Or the dealer changed names before my first trip..around 1966 or so.
No hood side emblems were lighted. The 67 is unique in not having any reflector, but the 68-72 are identical, reflector only. The 68 and 69 had reflectors on the lower rear bedsides replaced by lights at the end of the "spear" from 1970-72.

Blame it on the Big Dummy for not lookin' in other refs I have.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
1967 Hood Emblem for the F-100:
C7TB-16721-A
C7TB-16720-A
And guess what. The reference pic is of a 68 to 72 reflectorized one.
That's just silly...
I did find a set on E-pray that you can look at for reference.

The part number I got for the triangular reflector is C8TZ-13380-A. For the LH side. Though it could read C8TZ-13360-A. My reference material is very worn and I have big gaps in them, and they been through the ringer. It doesnt show the right side for some reason.

Anyway this reflector was for 68 and 69 and looks like this.

And the side marker light for the 70-72 looks like this.

And that diagram I posted way back with the two different taillight housings came from a service manual. Doesnt say anything about year specifics. Just with or without backup lamps.

Yeah that dealer has changed names a few times in it's life. Just recently it changed to "Benny Brown's Oroville Ford".
The place just isnt the same. Too much new blood there that only understand the new stuff

I have around 5 refs on "classic" Ford trucks...was just too lazy to go look at 'em.
Been to Oroville, Yuba City, Roseville, Winters, Woodland (Electric Garage), Arbuckle (A.J. Atran). The old building where the Ford dealer was in Marysville was empty of obsolete parts...not a dang thing. But the L/M dealer, housed in a brand new Butler style building was a treasure trove. We had to go a rent an E-van to load all the stuff..we were headed to Reno for the 1976 Harrah Swapmeet. The manager there, I knew from the dealer in Selma, where I bought all of his stuff.
He was so glad to clean out the 2nd floor, where the old geezer former manager had dumped all the stuff, that he only insisted on charging 20 bucks for everything! There was among other things, a NOS 1946-8 Continental grille. Most of the stuff sold at Harrah's.
Good old days are gone....now I'm an old geezer.

I'm always mixing those up. Sigh

Pretty cool story about the NOS Parts!

FTE is one of the few sites where a gimpy, old wheezing dummy of a geezer can still do the job he was trained for and loved.
