Hi...I have a 1995 Mazda B3000 4x4 Manual 3.0 V6
with about 90,000 miles on it, and almost half the time I go to start it, it turns over but it wont start so I have to go wait 20 minutes and try it again, at that point it usually starts...this problem also happens if I turn the truck off with loud music playing, im thinking it might be electrical, or the starter..
I have yet to get it checked out by anyone...what do you think?
If you suspect your alternator, battery, battery cables, or starter, why not trot this puppy by your favorite autoparts store for a electrical system load test, via their portable system tester, it'll likely sniff out any weak, component or bad electrical connection & most will do this check up, at no cost.
You mght also have them scan the computer to see if any pending or set trouble codes are in there, that might offr up a clue on where next to look.
Once you know eveything on the electrical generating & suppy side is ok, then look to scheduled maintenance things, like air & fuel filters, spark plug & wire condition, plug gap, then do a fuel pressure & flow rate test, to see how the pump is doing.
By then you'll have a fairly good idea of the condition of the systems & items that supply power to crank the engine, provide fuel & spark, so she'll start.
