Our truck 6.0 powerstroke began leaking oil at bellhousing at 1800 miles and needed rear main replaced. FINALLY AFTER CALLING FORD AND INSISTING A 40K TRUCK SHOULD NOT LEAK OIL METRO FORD RAYNHAM,MA Then at 6000 miles the ball joints and while in for ball joints the dealer dropped truck off lift and damaged suspension running boards and bent up floor boards all while in for repair of ball joints and body work from deer running into truck and they didn't even match the paint up not even close (COLONIAL FORD PLYMOUTH, MA). Exhaust drone and egr issues since early on and no dealer will even address those issues once at 35000 the egr was replaced and worked well for a while but back to its old tricks again now at 98900 mile the oil is leaking again the egr valve is malfunctioning with plumes of black smoke under a load and not a heavy one either as well as the drone is getting louder from exhaust. The oil leak just showed up yesterday but the egr isuues and the exhaust drone became increasingly more significant since going in for the exhaust pressure switch recall and cold start issues which was once again METRO FORD RAYNHAM, MA I DON'T EVEN THINK THEY HAD A DIESEL TECH WORK ON OUR TRUCK BEWARE OF SHODDY SERVICE DEPARTMENTS. We love our truck but despise those in charge of quality control because someone is not doing their job. I could list the issues it has had all night long and still forget some things. Water in fuel light why doesn't the flux get cleaned from the sensor connection when they are soldered in place so that they don't just corrode off. I have replaced twice.

 

best bet is to find a dealer that sells trucks only. A tech guy there is gonna be much better (in general) than the guys at the general ford dealership.
