engine id

i have a '67 f-100 4x4. i am trying to identify the engine it has in it. the block has 352 on it. so i am assuming that is what it is? i was told, by the previous owner that it was a 390. the id tag that is supposed to be under the coil is no longer there.

Most likely if it says 352 it is a 352

All FE's either have "352", "105"(which would be stamped upside down and backwards), or they'll be blank. The only way to find out what you have is to measrure the bore and stroke.

If the engine is factory it is 352, Ford didn't offer the 390 in the truck in 67. Like FE said all have the 352 stamp.
