I have a 1978 F250 with 400 out of a Galaxie 500. It has points ignition. When I turn the motor over the spark seems very weak. Would this be a sign of a abd condensor or a weak coil?????

Probably the coil, but condenser and points are real cheap, you could try those first. also check the cap and rotor.
Sorry that I didn't give more info but I have changed the cap, rotor, wires and points. Only reason I didn't change the condensor is the screw is stripped and I don't want to fool with it yet if I don't have to. I do have a full twelve volts off of the solenoid, but I haven't been able to check it with it running yet. I haven't been able to start the engine since all of this started.

Alright I did some more investigating and found out that I need a resistor between my ignition switch and the coil. What ohm rating should this resistor be? Ialso metered across the coil and had 2 ohms across the contacts and could not get a reading from the plug wire receptacle to either contact. I would assume that I have a bad coil due to not having that resistor in. When I removed all the wiring harness I did not know that the resistor wire even existed. If anyone knows what the ohm rating should be please let me know. Thanks in advance
Installed the new coil and the resistor and she took off. Ran a little rough until the lifters pumped up but it seems to be fine. Thanks to all for your help.
