Did I do the right thing?

I was going to buy an '04 Lariat Screw with 50,000 miles on it for around $25K, plus I would have purchased an extended warranty for $1,850. Financing was at 8.75% which would have put me around $460 a month.

What I did was buy a brand new '06 Lariat Screw for 1.9% financing for 6 years at around $37K. Payments came to $530.

They are both 4X4's.

What do you think?

Good idea to avoid the 04, especially with 50k on it.

Thumbs up

I think that was a very good deal. I ran into the same problems trying to find a used truck. People still owe more than they are worth. Plus 50k miles is alot in 2 years. I ended up getting my 06 STX 4.2 with a manual 2wd for $14,505. I couldn't find a used truck anywhere near that.
