Installing Gas Shocks
Have a 96 F350 4x4 Crew and going to install some Monroe Reflex shocks.. Have never installed shocks that come with straps and not sure what will happen when I cut them.
Have looked in the archives and can't find much on this.. Have heard that they expand slowly and if I keep the bottom bolt in my hand, when I cut the strap I can guide the shock into the bottom bracket and quickly slide the bolt through. Or.. I've read that you just cut the straps and use a jack to compress them again to get the both through.. This sounds like a pain..
Anybody have some words of wisdom?
Thx,
Brian
