Well, my beloved ESOF is crapping out at 267,000KM, the problem appears to be a vacuum leak at the hubs. This does not come as a surprise because the nipples that the vacuum line connects to are rusty, and the line does not go on very tight. I fugure that since shafts have already been out once, I should just "re-seal" the whole works, and be done with it. New nipples should be in order too.
Looks like a simple job, but when doing my research, I read that you need a special tool to put the innter seal (Not the ones in the pumpkin, the vacuum seal behind the ESOF) on. Is there a shadetree tool for this? And is there any trick to putting the O-Ring on that goes between the manual lock and the outside of the hub? And has anyone who has done this reccommend any tricks (Other then forget ESOF and get WARN hubs)?
