Sound in front end

Hey all, when i turned the steering wheel in my truck (04 F-250 5.4 4X4) it made a squeeling sound and if i stop the wheel the noise will stop, I had my sister turn the steering wheel while i looked under the truck and the noise seems to be coming from the tire somewhere. It actually kind of sounds like a fishing reel being reeled in with the drag button on. Does anyone have any ideas on what this might be? Thanks

is it like a creek?? the factory non greaseable ball joints tend to do that, i would start there

I got the truck checked out and ATC_250SX was exactly right. It was the ball joints that dont have the grease fittings that is causing all the noise.

did you have them replaced?? i have been unable to find a way to get grease and or oil into them, but oh well what are you gonna do, i plan on replacing mine with moog parts when need be.
