where the Power steering line connects to the Rack? on a '93 6 cylinder. Unfortunately by the time I was done with 2 racks and one PS pump, I ended up (like a DA) crossthreading one of the internals. Not sure if it's metric or standard and I don't have any taps to check it with. So I have to buy whatever it is.
is it leaking between steel hose and nut or between nut and rack body? did you replace seals?
remove hose and take to machine shop supply store for size/thread comparison....thread chaser is better than tap....also get thread chaser or die for compression nut to clean up threads on it...
plug bottom of hole in rack with rag, something heavy and tough like shop rag corner....tap or thread chase....not completely to bottom.... then blow out multiple times with hp air....one steel cutting in rack is DEATH to internals....will lodge in seal or valve
or go to auto parts house and have them measure hole/compression nut for size/threads on new rack or hose
also use a small magnet pickup in rack hole to get out all metal cuttings
good luck
