surely one of you guys have had this door lock problem. it seems that when you hit the power unlock or lock that you can tell that the motors are trying to move the tabs or it sounds like it. but like only one door seems to unlock but of course if you give them a pull they come up. any suggestions
Sounds like the dreaded superduty door lock problem, do a search on door locks, and you will read several threads about the problem. I read a post not so long ago about someone fixing their door lock actuators with alum.foil, but I can't remember who it was, but i'm sure some of the fine, more knowledgeable people than me, on here will chime in shortley.
Mine are back to doing that same thing. I sprayed the latch with WD40. They worked for a while. They tend to get dirty and stop working. The added WD40 made it so they collect dust quicker. So don't try this one.
it is just so much easier to add aftermarket actuators and leave the oem ones there. i put the new ones in an easy place to get at so if i never need to replace one it will be a piece if cake. I paid ~$20 for a set of 4.
