Tranny fluid change- which method??
Ford now changes the tranny fluid by hooking up to pump and changing everything out. I used to hear that the best method was to take off pan and drain. Any thoughts?

Torqshift service requirements are at 30K intervals. What I recommend is changing the fluid in the pan again about 15K down the road. You are actually getting more fluid changed this way than with the super duper "douch" machines that most places want to rip you off with -- but they can sure impress the customer with the pretty little clear tubes full of "old", "dirty" fluid and the "new" fluid in their demostrations.

The TorqShift has an in-line filter. The trans only has a big screen to catch parts in a case of failure. You lessen the chance of introducing foreign material and creating leaks by not dropping the pan.
