Headlight Conversion on Super Duty
My 2006 F250 XL came with the cheap looking sealed beam headlights. I purchased the XLT/LARIAT style Jeweled headlights from ebay, and they came with all the bulbs, etc.
The bulbs are 9008/H13 units....I found and ordered a pair of adapter sockets (to replace original) for the 9008 bulbs from suvlight.com.
Can I simply splice these sockets/pigtails into the original headlight wiring harness, or do I need some type of adapters/relays/fuses/????
I have seen conversion kits (wiring harness) that hooksup to the battery and has relays and fuses...supposedly to give brighter-than-stock lighting...I don't think I need this stuff....
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated...
