Necessary Mods Before DP Tuner
I plan to get a DP tuner in the very near future. After communicating w/ Jody via e-mail, he said he needed my trucks PCM code and any mods currently on my truck.
Currently I have a stock replacement K&N air filter, 305 sized tires, and my truck has been straight piped w/ the flex pipe (no muffler). I'm also geting a set of gauges installed this week (boost/pyro).
My question is - Should there be specific modifications I should do to my truck before getting the tuner? Or does it not really matter (can I add on later)?

Looks like you are on track so far. I believe that you might want to decide on tranny mods before you purchase and let Jody know based on what I have read. Just talk to him. Now that K&N stock replacement has to go. Get a 6637 as a minimum or an AIS.

Me, I changed my VB first so I could ensure it worked right before I did the PCM. I like to diagnose things by looking at the last thing I did before it broke.
You need to keep Jody in the loop about what you plan to do and he will tell you the best thing to get.
I would suggest gauges, gauges and gauges. Oh, did I mention gauges? Pyro, Boost and Trans Temp are the basic ones. After that you can get a baseline. The you can go on to 4 in exhaust, BTS VB, AIH Delete and other quick mods.
