aerostar diagnostic codes

Hi all , I just recently pulled my motor out of my 94 aerostar because of a broken spark plug. When I put motor back in and started it back up it sounded like it was miss firering, then my check engine light came on. Is there any way to check what the codes are without buying a meter to read the codes?
PLEEEAAAASE help.

sure, do a search on the subject however rather than starting a new topic. I'm sure someone will be along who has the link anyways, but please people, use the search feature.
